Prototypes from the Sketches

Hi all!

iMooveonline will be releasing a few previews of prototypes and future interface of iMooveonline. Well, we actually had quite a cool coloured interface, but we thought that it may not be that suitable for an online shopping mall, thus we switch to a white background shopping mall so as to have a more simplistic feeling:

But the result was disastrous! Haha. Yeap, building an e-commerce website or any online business is not just mainly focusing on the wonderful javascript or the sophisticated php codes, but it is also important to take note of the interactivity of the interface. Therefore, after reviewing on certain designs and matters, we made some improvements:

The new design is very much different from most e-commerce shops which are normally white to keep it clear and simple. Instead, the new design is a cool dark blue interface to ensure the pictures of the merchants stand out and to attract customers to click on the shops they are interested in. On top of that, the new background also ensure our headings, wordings and logo become more prominent then usual.

1. As shown from the side, the log in screen is placed at a prominent area so that members can log in easily after browsing through the shops that they are interested to go to. You can log in as and when you like, without having the hassle to click around to the previous My iMoove page just to log in.

The new and improved search function, which is located on top of the log in screen will also allow better search of the types of stores you would like to visit. We will further improve this function and may even make it into a widget or toolbar to be integrated into your desktop or web browser respectively.

2. The buttons now are much easier to engage with, as we input simple rollovers and drop downs to allow you to have a much wider selection then usual even as a non member. As most can observe, the iMooveonline logo is also being edited to a newer version which is much more suited for the logo with a spunky feeling in it as compare to the dull bubbly corporate look in the past.

As we are finishing up the last part of the beta system, we will be updating you and will inform everyone of the launch coming this end of the month.

What's iMooveonline doing now?

Love is in the air.

Yup, its the month of Valentine and most people are getting gifts and flowers for their love ones or there are those who are single going for parties for single or just taking a rest at home from this commercialise day for Valentine.

As for iMooveonline, we are undergoing revamp and currently only the lucky dip is running for the front part to encourage users to keep coming in as our true beta system will be out by late of May 2008. Meanwhile, please visit iMooveonline testimonials to see how many of you have already won exciting prizes such as PSP, creative MP3 players and other attracting dips.

Well, I'm sure everyone is waiting for updates on how the true beta will be like after much testing. The new beta will be mainly focusing on better shopping experience around the globe and iMooveonline will be opening up to the world instead of just Singapore alone to allow customers get a greater selection of deals online. Moreover, we will be going in User Generated Content (UGC) system to allow you guys to grade the stores, to comment on them, to help them to advertise, to talk about your purchasing experience and of course to organise sprees together, not the manual way, but a new automatic system created by iMooveonline.

More details will be released in the following post and we will promise to deliver a whole new shopping experience to the world. =) Sit back and see how iMooveonline "moove" the world!

Happy New Year 2008! iMoove moving on!

Happy New Year to all!! 2008 will be an exciting year and fruitful one! So how was everybody's New Year resolutions for 2007 being fulfilled? Well, for iMooveonline.com, we are able to fulfill most, mainly:

1. Build up the first beta by June 2007.
2. Giving out lucky dips and prizes to gain marketing attention.
3. Creating a blog to update people on ongoings (Though this one delayed quite a bit. I'll explain why later)
4. Revamp of front part and some pages after feedbacks for beta.
5. Ongoing huge revamp for 2008.
6. Getting up a complicated back end programming.
7. Plans to start web designing and advertisements segment.

Ok! That's good. so what are the New Year resolutions or aims for 2008?

1. To get a bigger team to work with.
2. Start to get advertisers in after revamping.
3. Hitting a targeted amount of traffic hits (targeted by iMooveonline.com management)
4. Start working on big projects and linking websites to ours.
5. Building up the largest classifieds in Singapore and expand overseas.
6. Introduce new concepts (we already have one big plan ongoing, do look out for it)
7. Of course, higher share holders value!

Alright, some of you must be thinking, what took me so long to update this page. The reason is I was busy in getting a bigger and more efficient team the past month and slowly this team is getting built up. Besides that, all is well and iMooveonline.com is pleased to announce that the new winner for PSP has been drawn for Dec 2007. See iMooveonline.com for more information!

Mooving Ideas on the Go!

Yeap, I'm back with more updates and this time round will be more concise. I'll be breaking up the new interface updates into different parts, consisting mainly of 4 main parts, Main page, Lucky Dip page, Spreeing page and Participate page. Woah! All these sound so new and it seems that current interface does not have. So browse through the sketches below to get a good idea on how the whole upgrade of interface will be like by end of Dec 2007 (Hopefully before Christmas!)

Main Page

In new main page, we will involve a simple, clear and attractive design. It's hard to see from here, but the sketch is enough to describe the new components. Sign in is easier now on the right with interesting advertisement designed by the team . Lucky dips are now very accessible and is located in the main page in both "Promoted Dips" and "Newest Dips". Promoted Dips will keep updating itself in a form of slide show and the Newest Dip portion will show all the new dips or you can choose to view Hottest Dip or Closing Dips easily saving up a lot of trouble to locate the lucky dip and outsider will also be able to view before joining as a member.

Lucky Dip Page

As for the Lucky Dip page it is so much more interactive and fun! You can dip but clicking the number you like (subject to availability). With this option, we can actually develop interesting ideas for our member in the future. Moreover, now it comes with very high end picture well taken and displayed with improved graphics designing and writeup like magazines to allow you read through any items before dipping or deciding on whether to purchase.

Spreeing Page

As for the Spreeing Page it is very different from the current shopping page. You will be able to shop, but you will be linked to every specialized stores! Yes, you can view lots of online stores (we only accept quality ones or those created by our team). So now we act like a mall, and you can choose to visit the store or not by reading our review on each stores. We do allow comments which will create a better judge for viewers by then.

Participate Page

Lastly, it is the Participate Page! In this page, we will add in a community for all iMoovers to chat online and to suggest improvements to iMooveonline.com. What's more interesting is that we may link to the 'I Love Advert' part and create a big community for everyone to have fun online. However, I will not reveal much and I can say this is a very exciting add on, so stay tuned for more updates and to understand more about the new add-ons.

Drafting in progress. iMooveonline on the Moove!

Hi all!

As promised, I'm back to update everyone on the process outflow shown by the following drafts. Sorry if my handwriting is bad, I tried my best, hehe. I'll further illustrate in addition to the following sections of the drafts. The first picture display the new flow for the signing up, the second, which is one of the most exciting, provide rough sketch of what you may be given in your account and also the lucky dip function. Final picture will just list down some interface sketches to be sketched out on the next post.

As shown above, it shows that the future signing up process will be step by step and so much more user friendly. You can even introduced your friends straightaway and get PVs and lucky dips free once they join! Isn't this much more easier than spreading through words of mouth? Regarding the bottom part, it shows that we may get the function of getting your friends from your address book into our system, but we will get Yahoo!, Google and various email agents approval before confirming on that function. Lastly, you will be led to the next part, which is your account!

As you proceed to your account, you will be able to view as many details as shown now in your account, but with more interesting interface. So much more interesting than last time and we will ensure that you will keep visiting and updating it. Trust us on that!

It will be in tabs format with lucky dip being the main page leading you to the fun lucky dips where you get free prizes. How cool can that be ya? Free hand phones, PSP, iPod and more in the future. As shown below, the lucky dip will be a step by step process and not like the current one page plain lucky dip.

Next week, I'll present you with the new interface for the member's area and this will be so different from the current plain blue that throw you with all the information at one go. Though the draft may not be exciting as the final product, but if it interest you, I bet you will love the completed member's area. So keep checking back on the blog for further updates!

What other improvements we have installed for you? Well , next week you will see the whole new interface of most of the pages and this is just the beginning. Once Ver 1.1 is completed in December 2007, we will work on Ver 2.0, which will be a very much completed version. During the works, you will also be updated with all the freebies and goodies you will get along with the new items that are coming in. New interface, phase 1 of upgrades completed

I'm back after a small upgrade. Now iMooveonline has been upgraded to a much user friendly interface and in a cool black main page with glowing interactive buttons and immediate sign in for existing members to skip the trouble of going through the step by step guide:

So people start asking why do iMooveonline.com have 2 colour sites? Well, simple! Take a look below:

Which colour you like more? Yup, guessed it? We are trying to test out which colour attracts more people as both are our corporate colours! Look at the hit count? It shows the number of page views till now. Visit or click on the colour you would like most!

Using the corporate colours, I have also converted all the new interface to the refreshing blue and green. Both will have ample links to click around and will be much more fun to browse around. So which websites are under the blue? Mainly Lucky Dip and Testimonials!

Those in green is mainly Support page (or Why iMoove?) for now! Our mascot Mr Snuffles is over there! Yup!

Well, that's most of the updates and this blog will be getting more widgets and new additions soon, most likely by next post, please look out! As for feedbacks, the team is thinking to give people with great feedbacks Point Values for lucky dip, so do keep your feedbacks coming in! I will update everyone on this. Hey ya! The new interface details.

Wonder how our new and improved interface will be like? With the boring headers, normal kind of shopping, side light blue bubbly bars? Think again!

iMooveonline.com is moving into its next interface* in a few months time, meanwhile let me give you some details. With the increasing in hit counts for lucky dip, we have decided to focus on this section. Well, let me update you with the new parts that will surface:

Oh god! This is the most favourite of the 7 parts series! Interface!

As all can see, the current interface at iMooveonline.com is mainly based on green and blue colour which are our corporate colours. Yup, lots of people commented that it is some what like Standard Chartered and StarHub corporate colours. So do you all like it? The most important point is that everyone must love it. Wavy header, light blue squarish speech bubbles, different themes for different products and also Mr Snuffles are what our website are associated to.

Well, that's great! However, we still have much to improve on, after much feed backs. Such as:

1. A more interactive design
2. Simple and stunning header
3. Interactive buttons
4. Easy and simple usability
5. Better sign up process
6. Bringing all the members fun tools to the front
7. Larger display pictures

Oh man, loads and loads of improvement right? As I say, we are researching on all these suggestions and skeleton have been drawn out, do stay tune for the add-ons to the beta version on the next post!

E-commerce: I love it!

I'm back! It has been a busy month and I am back to update what is happening.

Yeap, let's see what has been happening. iMooveonline.com is still under Beta Testing and we are gathering good feedbacks for more improvement. Much has been added such as a new and improved support page, new lucky dip page and also an ongoing research to bring out a whole new interface.

Let's recall some past history ya? After the e-commerce idea was set to deliver the mechanism of multi profit sharing, lots of effort was placed into the building of the background infrastructure, which was the toughest and the hardest. Because lots of mathematical formula have to be formulated and it is made in such a way that everyone get a fair share of the profit sharing system.

Next up, we went on to the design of the logo, interface and even the name of the company, which is imooveonline after many rejections of other names. Those are either too rigid, too hard to remember and not catchy. In the next update, I'll be talking more about the current design interface and most probably the new exciting version that will be surfacing.

In The Beginning

Hi there! This is Gordon, I will be heading the 2 part series of introduction to iMooveonline.com. It can be quite "dry", but I promise to make it interesting for you guys out there!

The project was actually in the midst of research since 2004 where we met and came out with this idea of a profit sharing system which will benefit all. After much discussion, research and also gathering of the whole team (Yes! It was not easy to get the whole team), we decided to embark on this project around the middle of 2006. It was not an easy task as there were lots of planning to do and sketching of the skeleton and whole body of the website before we started with the programming.

Since then we have been working out on problems with bugs and eventually trying to perfect it (though there is nothing such as a perfect programme in the world!). iMoove was finally born with the Beta version running since 22 June 2007 after numerous trial runs. However, guys, we still need your help! We understand that there maybe some bugs, clinches or even some ideas or suggestions you so feel free to prompt us at admin@imooveonline.com! Thank you so very much!

iMooveonline.com has so much to improve on and only with the whole community of iMoovers then can we deliver a service that is above standards and of much use to you guys!
